Leeman Field RV Park and Campground offers 20 full hook-up sites and camping in Pennington Gap, Virginia. Located in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, the campground offers scenic views year-round. Access to the adjacent Leeman Field Park, Greenway and nearby Stone Mountain ATV Trail offers campers a host of outdoor recreational activities. The campground’s close proximity to downtown Pennington Gap with designated ATV friendly streets is a short trip to all the town’s local shops, restaurants, and entertainment. A one-hour drive from the campground gives the opportunity to explore a range of places in Eastern Tennessee, Eastern Kentucky, or Southwest Virginia. Sites and Amenities:
Sites accommodate up to a 45′ motor home. Primitive tent camping is allowed or on-site camping with water, electric, Wi-Fi and closer proximity to restroom and shower facilities as available. In addition to free Wi-Fi service, the area is served by Verizon and AT&T cell service. The welcome center pavilion and fireplace allows for group meet-ups and covered picnics. Event rental is $100/ 8 hrs.
Easy access to the adjacent historic Leeman Field Recreation Park, with scheduled events and an Olympic-sized seasonal pool makes the RV park a new-found stop in far SW Virginia. Amenities include:

Leeman Field:
The campground allows for easy access to Leeman Field Recreation Park. Although once the world's largest enclosed baseball field, the park now offers a range of facilities including a seasonal swimming pool, playgrounds, horse ring and stables, baseball fields, basketball, pickleball and tennis courts, volleyball pit, picnic pavilions, amphitheater. . The park also includes the 1.4 mile Greenway walking trail with 18-hole disc golf course and connects to the Riverbend Shopping Center. The shopping center includes Food City with hot deli, El Centenario Mexican Restaurant, Hong Kong Restaurant, Taco Bell, and Family Dollar.
On designated summer weekends, Leeman Field hosts a variety of events including ATV Drag Races, Cumberland Horse Association Riding Competitions, and Lee Tractor Association Tractor Pulls. The park also hosts the annual Lion's Club Lee County Fair each summer. In addition, the park hosts a variety of holiday festivities and celebrations throughout the year such as the annual Independence Day Celebration with all-day events and live musical performances followed by fireworks compliments of the town.
From the first of December until Christmas, enjoy ice skating and wagon rides around the Christmas Fantasy in Lights. A new year's eve ball drop ends the year with fireworks!
Stone Mountain ATV Trail:
Follow Fairground road past the campground to the trailhead of Stone Mountain ATV Trail, which is a part of the Spearhead Trails system. It features 34 miles of trail over 500 acres of land. Riders must have the appropriate helmets and a permit for the trail. For permits and more information, please visit Spearhead Trails or Black Diamond Gas in town at 40554 W Morgan Ave, Pennington Gap, VA 24277. Parking for trail riders not staying in the campground is across from the campground entrance.

Call (276) 298-5177. 30 amp services are $25 per night, and 50 amp services are $30 per night. Primitive tents sites are $10 per night and on-site tent camping $15 per night when available. The welcome center pavilion is $100 for 8 hours. All prices subject to VA sales tax. Passport America discounts are also honored Sunday-Wednesday on non-holidays.
