Request for Proposal (RFP) Project Title: Wetland Restoration and Pond Rehabilitation for Floodwater Mitigation

The Town of Pennington Gap is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide professional landscape architecture services for the redevelopment of approximately 2 acres of open field, including a small pond, into a flood-mitigating recreational area that includes a play area. This project received funding from the Virginia Community Flood Preparedness Fund Grant Program through the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR), via CFPF-25-06-67." The scope of work includes conceptual design, community engagement, preparation of shovel-ready construction documents, and coordination of a comprehensive permitting process. The anticipated project timeline is approximately fifteen (15) months, beginning August 2026 and concluding November 2027.
